Royal Caribbean 's Anthem of the Seas has returned to Sydney to kick off a new season as one of the largest ships in the region. It will join Brisbane-based Quantum of the Seas to headline the company's most extensive local program to date. This summer, the Anthem will offer 21 cruises, ranging from three-night weekend getaways to nine-night voyages through the idyllic South Pacific and grand 12-night journeys through the spectacular landscapes of New Zealand.
“After an outstanding debut in Australia, we are thrilled to bring the award-winning Anthem of the Seas back to Sydney for our most comprehensive summer season yet,” said Gavin Smith, Vice President and General Manager of Royal Caribbean Australia and New Zealand. “With a variety of short weekend getaways, South Pacific cruises, and New Zealand voyages, families can enjoy their vacations their way, with the convenience of unpacking just once.”.
From Sydney, passengers can choose from five options to discover Australia's east coast, with itineraries of between three and eight nights that will visit Hobart and Queensland, combining the historical charm of Tasmania with the tropical attractions of the state of Queensland.
Seven- to nine-night cruises through the South Pacific will allow you to enjoy the sun and discover destinations such as Noumea in New Caledonia, as well as Port Vila and Mystery Island in Vanuatu.
For those seeking longer voyages, the Anthem of the Seas will offer spectacular itineraries of between nine and 12 nights around New Zealand, with stops in Picton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, plus a cruise through Milford Sound to admire its majestic fjords.
The Anthem combines a wide range of dining and entertainment options with leisure and adventure activities for all types of passengers. The most daring can experience freefall in the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, try surfing in the FlowRider simulator, or enjoy panoramic ocean views from the North Star observation capsule.
The culinary offering includes a selection of international flavors, from Japanese specialties at Izumi and American steakhouse classics at Chops Grille to the immersive dining experiences of Wonderland.
As night falls, entertainment takes center stage with Royal Caribbean's adaptation of the hit musical We Will Rock You, an Olivier Award winner featuring the greatest hits of Queen. For those who prefer to relax, the ship offers the Vitality Spa and Solarium, an exclusive adults-only space.
Royal Caribbean will also strengthen its presence in Australia with the Quantum of the Seas, which will sail from Brisbane this season. The ship will offer 28 cruises of between three and nine nights along the Queensland coast and the South Pacific, with a program full of activities to enjoy the summer.
This season will also mark the return of The Wiggles themed cruises, featuring The Wiggly Friends aboard the Anthem of the Seas and the Quantum of the Seas.
The family-friendly offering will include three special themed cruises departing from Sydney and Brisbane, where children and their families can enjoy a holiday with The Wiggles and their characters. These include Tsehay Hawkins (Yellow Wiggle), Lucia Field (Blue Wiggle), Caterina Mete (Red Wiggle), and the Tree of Wisdom.
In addition to Royal Caribbean's usual family experiences, these cruises will offer a full program of live concerts and character meet-and-greets, as well as exclusive items from the Royal Caribbean x The Wiggles collection and other surprises.
