This was rated by the OTT as one of the 3 best practices in May 2015.
The top online information provider and UK leader in OTT (Online Travel Training) revealed this week that during May 2015, Cruise Baltic's network was the second highest-ranked in its official statistics on the most popular online training courses, i.e., those operated for its global customers.
A total of 363 travel agents have accessed and passed Cruise Baltic's online training course. Cruise Baltic launched its learning platform on April 22, 2015, and by May, the only platform ranking higher in performance was American Airlines' platform. Accessible at cruisebaltictraining.com.
“We are delighted with the results. Each of the 363 travel agents who have already completed the training modules receives a diploma and becomes a certified Baltic Cruise Expert. By providing agents with comprehensive training that will greatly help us achieve our goal of supporting cruise lines to deploy more ships in the Baltic Sea, this reflects our commitment to ensuring increased passenger and cruise traffic in our region,” stated Claus Bødker, Director of Cruise Baltic.
This course equips travel agents worldwide with the knowledge and tools to boost their Baltic cruise sales. They will be able to provide clients with more comprehensive product information, combining details of Baltic destinations and attractions with recommended hotel and airline services. The program includes sales materials and the latest updates on attractions and shore excursions for each destination.
Cruise Baltic is a network of cruise destinations in the Baltic Sea, offering easy access to 10 countries in a chain with an “ocean of adventure.” The network – founded in 2004 with 12 destinations – has now grown to 27 destinations as of 2015
