Costa Cruises and Viajes El Corte Inglés presented in Madrid the round-the-world trip across the great oceans, a dream journey of 96 days sailing the great oceans and getting to know the five continents, which will depart from Barcelona on September 16.

The Costa Luminosa will set sail this autumn on a round-the-world voyage with a total of 37 port calls. This historic route was launched by Costa Cruises in 2011 and, five years later, has become a landmark achievement for the Italian cruise line.

Passengers will have the option of circumnavigating the globe in a single trip or divided into three legs, choosing the one that best suits their preferences. Prices range from €2,370 to €3,605 for the longest route.

The first leg lasts 26 days, departing from Barcelona and traveling through the Caribbean and the Pacific. The second leg, lasting 40 days and departing from Los Angeles on October 12, will pass through New Zealand and Australia. The third leg, lasting 30 days and departing from Singapore on November 21, will take travelers back to Europe via India and the United Arab Emirates.

This unique experience was presented this Tuesday by the general manager of Spain and Portugal of Costa Cruises, María Jesús García, and the director of communication and promotion of Viajes El Corte Inglés, Fernando Tomás.

“Costa Cruises offers the most comfortable way to embark on an unforgettable adventure: a cruise that will travel through seas and oceans for three months, passing through the Panama and Suez canals,” explained the director of the shipping company, who confirmed that the cruise sector has been booming in recent years.

She explained that this type of trip is accessible to everyone because “travel has no age limit,” and confirmed that previous cruises have carried passengers ranging from senior citizens to families with children and businesspeople. “Costa Cruises makes the dream of traveling around the world a reality,” she asserted.

For his part, Fernando Tomás, communications director of Viajes El Corte Inglés, expressed his satisfaction with offering this exclusive program. “It meets the demand and expectations of discerning travelers who enjoy their trips with us. A very special journey that promises an unforgettable experience aboard a state-of-the-art ship like the Costa Luminosa,” Tomás stated, confirming that some places have already been sold for this package.

10,000 passengers traveling around the world

Costa Cruises offers voyages across seven seas and five continents aboard a ship that guarantees maximum relaxation, fine cuisine, and countless thoughtful touches. The ship, which first set sail in 2009, has a capacity for 2,828 passengers.

It has 12 decks with 1,130 cabins, including 75 within the Samsara Spa. Of these cabins, 778 are outside cabins, representing almost 70% of the total.

With four consecutive years of experience circumnavigating the globe, Costa Cruises has welcomed a total of 10,000 passengers of different nationalities who have enjoyed a round-the-world trip on a ship offering numerous leisure and entertainment options, including a 3,500 square meter spa, three multi-level swimming pools, a 4D cinema, mini golf, restaurants, shops, and entertainment for all passengers.

“This trip offers a very comfortable way to see the world in a single journey, with more possibilities than any other vacation option,” said the company’s marketing director, Giorgio Costa, who confirmed that the cruise will make longer stops to enjoy “incredible nights in the best places in the world” such as Sydney, Los Angeles, Singapore or Rio de Janeiro.
