This morning, two large cruise ships arrived at the Port of Alicante with a total of 6,000 passengers who can now enjoy the diverse tourist attractions offered by Alicante and its province. The majority of the passengers are British and American.
The ships visiting today are the Constellation from Celebrity Cruises (Royal Caribbean Group) and the Nieuw Amsterdam from Holland America Line; both have previously visited Alicante.
The cruises were handled by Berge y Cia SA and Transcoma.
The two cruise ships are a good indicator that CostablancaPortuaria's efforts to attract more cruise traffic are paying off. This year, approximately 90,000 passengers are coming to Alicante, compared to 34,000 last year.
