Silversea has unveiled new cruises for its 2028-2029 Voyage Collection, "Let the World Surprise You." The itineraries are designed to coincide with some of the world's most exciting cultural events, from the carnivals of Venice and Rio de Janeiro to New Year's Eve celebrations in Funchal and Sydney, and also include new SALT Culinary Voyages focused on truffle season in Europe and iconic markets in Southeast Asia.
The program, which will run from September 2028 to May 2029, comprises 103 cruises to 219 destinations in 56 countries, with 29 new ports of call in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and South America. General bookings will open on October 8, 2026.
“Our Voyage Collection 2028-2029 offers an industry-leading depth of itineraries across all regions,” said Bert Hernandez, President of Silversea. “Guests can choose a cruise designed around a culinary season through our new SALT Culinary Voyages, explore an entire continent aboard Silver Nova during the Grand South America 2029, or spend an afternoon on the unique island of Canouan, where our Destination Experience takes guests from a Carnival welcome to a beachside celebration. These are the moments that allow our guests to discover each destination at its most authentic.”
Among the new features of this program are:
- Two ships in the Mediterranean: Silver Nova and Silver Dawn will make 17 cruises, with special experiences linked to the Venice Carnival and the New Year's Eve fireworks in Funchal.
- New SALT Culinary Voyages: three Wine & Truffle itineraries through Spain and Italy and four new Asian Markets cruises between Singapore and Hong Kong.
- Canouan, an exclusive Silversea Destination Experience: a full-day stopover on this secluded island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with a Carnival welcome and a beachside celebration.
- Grand South America 2029: a complete circumnavigation of South America aboard Silver Nova, with scenic sailing around the Antarctic Peninsula.
Mediterranean
Silver Nova and Silver Dawn will offer 17 Mediterranean cruises between October 2028 and March 2029, with stops in 53 destinations in 12 countries, including the new ports of Brindisi and Imperia.
The itineraries include overnight stays in Cádiz, Funchal (Madeira), Fusina (Venice), Genoa, Istanbul, Livorno (Tuscany), Naples, and Valletta. The schedules of both ships will also allow for combining different itineraries in the Eastern and Western Mediterranean.
Silver Dawn 's overnight stops in Venice will allow you to experience Carnival after dark, including an evening inspired by Casanova. Another cruise will take the ship to Funchal, Madeira, for New Year's Eve, offering onboard views of the island's spectacular fireworks display, before continuing on to Casablanca and Tangier.
Silver Dawn will also incorporate three cruises with a stop in Alexandria, which will include an excursion to the Great Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, in addition to two other itineraries with a stop in Istanbul.
New SALT Culinary Voyages
Silversea is also expanding its SALT Culinary Voyages collection, a series of itineraries defined by gastronomic seasons and regional cuisines and accompanied by local experts, chefs, sommeliers and mixologists.
Between October and December, Silver Dawn will offer three Wine & Truffle cruises through Italy and Spain, following the truffle route from Livorno, the gateway to Tuscany, to Palamós, in the heart of Catalonia's truffle-growing region. The program includes truffle hunting excursions, guided vineyard tours, and onboard tastings and culinary experiences.
For its part, Silver Muse will conduct four Asian Markets itineraries between Singapore and Hong Kong, with excursions accompanied by local gastronomic experts, visits to markets with chefs and tours of street food stalls and traditional markets.
Caribbean
Silver Ray, Silver Nova, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow will headline Silversea's Caribbean and Central American program, with 38 cruises between November 2028 and March 2029 and stops in 34 destinations in 21 countries, including the new port of La Romana, in the Dominican Republic.
The four ships will offer round-trip departures from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or San Juan.
During the season, Silversea will also offer an exclusive Destination Experience in Canouan, featuring a private day at the beach that begins with a Carnival-style welcome, accompanied by local dancers and a steel drum band. The experience continues with a seaside celebration, appetizers, drinks, and live music.
Silver Ray and Silver Spirit will operate round-trip cruises from Miami of between eight and 12 days, with stops in St. Barts along with Antigua, Anguilla or St. Kitts.
South America
Silver Nova will be the setting for the Grand South America 2029, a 75-night, 76-day round-trip cruise departing from Fort Lauderdale on January 13, 2029 and returning on March 29, 2029.
The itinerary will include transit through the Panama Canal, scenic sailing around the Antarctic Peninsula, and overnight stops in Manaus, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Callao (Lima), and Cartagena.
Passengers will also be able to enjoy three exclusive experiences. The first will be a sunset reception in Gustavia, St. Barts, with champagne and local cocktails, followed by dinner and live music inspired by the ambiance of Saint-Tropez.
In Rio de Janeiro, passengers can experience Carnival from a reserved area in the Sambadrome, with prime seating along the parade route and hospitality service throughout the evening. Before returning to Fort Lauderdale, the ship will stop in Cartagena, where a private event will be held on a terrace overlooking the bay, featuring live music, dancers, and cultural performances.
New Year's Eve in Sydney and eight new ports in Asia
Silver Moon will spend the season in Australia and New Zealand, with 10 cruises between October 2028 and March 2029, calling at 42 destinations in three countries. The itinerary includes new calls at Batemans Bay and Phillip Island, as well as a scenic cruise through Dusky Sound.
New combinable itineraries in New Zealand, including a round-trip cruise from Melbourne, and new routes connecting Australia and Indonesia expand the possibilities for combining different cruises. Silver Moon will also make an overnight stop in Sydney for New Year's Eve.
For their part, Silver Moon and Silver Muse will jointly conduct 26 cruises around Asia between September 2028 and May 2029, with stops in 62 destinations in 11 countries.
The schedule incorporates eight new ports: Yeosu, Hitachinaka, Miyako-jima, Vigan, Muara, Sihanoukville, Makassar and Maizuru (Kyoto), in addition to introducing Kobe and Bali as new starting and ending ports for cruises, expanding the possibilities of combining itineraries.
The departures have also been scheduled to coincide with some of the region's major events, such as the cherry blossom season in Japan and Lunar New Year in Hong Kong.
General bookings for these Silversea Voyage Collection 2028-2029 cruises will open on October 8, 2026, following the early opening for Venetian Society members on October 6.
