Holland America Evolution Expands Its Live Music Offerings with New Venues on the Oosterdam and the Zuiderdam

As part of Holland America Evolution, Holland America Line is adding new stages next to the Lido Pool on the Oosterdam and the Zuiderdam, creating dedicated spaces for live music and entertainment in one of the ships’ most popular gathering areas. These new additions will expand opportunities for guests to enjoy live performances throughout the cruise. The first space will debut on the Oosterdam following its Evolution-program renovation, scheduled for fall 2027.

Holland America Evolution Expands Its Live Music Offerings with New Venues on the Oosterdam and the ZuiderdamThe new stage at the Lido Pool creates a dedicated space for live music in one of the ship’s most popular gathering spots. Complementing Holland America Line’s already extensive entertainment offerings, this addition will provide passengers with even more opportunities to enjoy performances throughout the cruise, while also serving as a central gathering place for special events and celebrations.

“Evolution is about bringing the best of Holland America Line to a larger portion of our fleet,” said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line. “Over the past few years, we’ve been working to expand and enhance our entertainment offerings across the entire fleet, guided by what our guests tell us they enjoy most. The new stages at the Lido Pool are another step in this effort, as they create more opportunities to enjoy live music and memorable performances in one of the ships’ most popular gathering spots.”

The programming for the new space will include a wide variety of musical performances, ranging from solo artists to high-energy live bands, as well as events tied to Holland America Line’s iconic Orange Party and other passenger favorites. The retractable glass roof over the Lido Pool will allow guests to enjoy this space throughout the entire voyage, regardless of the weather.

Holland America Evolution is the largest fleet upgrade in the company’s 153-year history and will revitalize six ships in the Vista and Signature classes through a combination of experiences inspired by the Pinnacle class, new offerings, and passenger favorites.

The company will invest more than $500 million in these ships to improve passenger areas, add new facilities, and include more staterooms and suites to provide travelers with a wider variety of options. The Oosterdam and the Zuiderdam are the first two ships included in the program.

In addition to the new poolside venues, passengers traveling aboard the Oosterdam and the Zuiderdam following their respective renovations will enjoy numerous enhancements, including the addition of the popular Grand Dutch Café and new staterooms and suites.

Taken together, these updates are designed to bring some of the company's most beloved experiences to a greater number of ships in the fleet, while also creating more spaces and services for passengers.

Bookings are now open for cruises aboard the Oosterdam and the Zuiderdam following both refurbishments, offering passengers the opportunity to experience firsthand the new staterooms, the renovated spaces, and the expanded entertainment areas.
