More than 500 travel agents from the EMEA region, including 90 from Spain, have boarded Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas to participate in the largest Seminar at Sea, with four days of immersive training and first-hand experiences on the brand's newest cruise ship.
Travel agents participated in three training sessions designed to enhance their understanding of the Royal Caribbean vacation experience. These sessions covered everything from onboard experiences and suite-style cabins to key ports and Royal Caribbean's portfolio of new destinations. The Seminar at Sea also showcased the new AI-powered simultaneous translation tool , providing access to translated audio and subtitles in each agent's preferred language.
Beyond the training sessions, the program is designed to immerse agents in the product they sell. The Legend Quest, which debuted during the ship's pre-cruise earlier this summer, has allowed agents to explore Legend of the Seas through an interactive, gamified experience.
Departing from Barcelona, the Seminar at Sea allowed agents to experience the ship's 40 dining, drinking, and entertainment options—from the new Hollywoodland Supper Club to the Broadway hit Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl—along with visits to Palma de Mallorca and La Spezia. The program is part of Royal Caribbean's ongoing investment in its travel partners, equipping agents with firsthand product knowledge and tools to sell Royal Caribbean vacations with greater confidence.
Welcoming the agents aboard, Gerard Nolan, Vice President and Managing Director of EMEA for Royal Caribbean, said: “Our largest Seminar at Sea ever is yet another example of our ongoing commitment to the travel agent community. We’re bringing together hundreds of agents from across EMEA aboard Legend of the Seas, giving them the opportunity to experience our latest vacations firsthand and empowering them with the knowledge and confidence to sell Royal Caribbean even more successfully. There’s nothing like experiencing one of our vacations for yourself, and over the next four days, we’ll be combining intensive training with plenty of opportunities to explore the ship, enjoy the destinations, and most importantly, spend time together. Our travel agents are fundamental to our success, and we will continue to invest in them significantly.”
