Cruise ship overnight stays in the Port of Cadiz have increased by 11.8 percent compared to November 2024. To date, 65 cruise ships have stayed overnight in the city, 10 more than in the same period of the previous year.
The cruise ship that has stayed overnight in the Port of Cadiz the most times so far this year has been the Belle de Cadix, with a total of 37 overnight stays, one more than up to November 2024.
In summary, the total number of passengers who have spent the night in Cadiz so far this year has been 30,322, which, compared to the 24,183 cruise passengers who stayed overnight in the Port of Cadiz until November 2024, represents an increase of 12.5 percent in number.
In this regard, the cruise ship with the most passengers that has stayed overnight in Cadiz this year has been the MSC MUSICA with 3,259 cruise passengers, followed by the COSTA FAVOLOSA with 3,155 passengers and by the COSTA PACIFICA with 3,140.
For the remainder of the year, 7 more cruise ship overnight stays are expected, which would mean a total of 72 ships staying overnight in 2025, 12 more than in 2024.
Regarding the economic impact of these overnight stays, taking into account the latest study carried out by the Junta de Andalucía (2016) on cruise tourism in the region, the total expenditure so far this year would exceed 2,460,000 euros.
