Oceania Cruises has unveiled the Oceania Sonata, the first of four 1,390-guest ships belonging to the new Sonata Class, representing the next chapter in the line's ongoing evolution towards intimate and luxurious vessels, with a debut planned for 2027.
As the ninth ship in the Oceania Cruises fleet, Oceania Sonata will set sail on her maiden voyage in August 2027. A true masterpiece of design, she will offer a symphony of unforgettable experiences at sea, guided by the brand's signature passion for gastronomy and its legacy of serving The Finest Cuisine at Sea® .
Combining expansive, light-filled spaces that invite celebration with serene retreats designed for relaxation, Oceania Sonata is poised to resonate deeply with discerning travelers. Every detail has been conceived to create an ambiance that is both stimulating and indulgent, capturing the very essence of refined luxury at sea.
The new ship will be the most spacious and feature-rich to date, with 30% of all onboard accommodations being suites. Oceania Sonata will debut two entirely new suite categories, in addition to the spectacularly redesigned Owner's Suites.
Ensuring that all accommodations have a connection to the changing seascapes and landscapes, each suite and cabin will feature a private and spacious veranda.

Guests will be able to enjoy many of the beloved restaurants and public spaces that have become synonymous with Oceania Cruises, including the elegant Grand Dining Room, as well as signature specialty restaurants such as Jacques, the line's sophisticated French restaurant; the pan-Asian Red Ginger; the Polo Grill; and Toscana, which offers Italian specialties. Oceania Sonata will feature ten world-class culinary experiences, combining guest favorites with innovative new concepts that reinforce the line's enduring commitment to gastronomic excellence.
In the coming months, more details will be revealed about exclusive restaurants and experiences never before seen at sea.
Currently under construction by Fincantieri, the renowned Italian shipyard responsible for the celebrated Oceania Marina™, Oceania Riviera™, Oceania Vista® and Oceania Allura™, Oceania Sonata is scheduled to set sail in August 2027. With approximately 86,000 gross registered tons, the ship will accommodate 1,390 guests and have 855 officers and crew members.
