Ambassador Cruise Line and Compagnie Française de Croisières (CFC) have announced the official completion of their integration following the merger backed by shareholders Njord Partners and Cheyne Capital, thus consolidating both companies under a single operational and strategic framework.
This union marks a decisive step in the group's expansion, reinforcing its presence in Europe and laying the foundations for sustained growth in new markets.
Christian Verhounig, CEO of the Ambassador Group, stated: “This integration has resulted in a stronger, more efficient and unified organization, reflecting our commitment to listening, evolving and offering our guests even more opportunities to enjoy the warmest welcome at sea with us.”
For her part, Maëlysse Pierrot-Guibourt, Managing Director for France, added: “With the integration now complete, CFC can fully focus on growing Renaissance’s business in France and the French Overseas Territories, including Guadeloupe and Martinique.”
Since the merger announcement in January 2025, the group's shared expertise and economies of scale have generated tangible results, strengthening Ambassador's position in the European cruise market.
The completion of the integration coincides with the inaugural voyage of the Renaissance, which marks the beginning of the group's first winter fly-cruise season, representing Ambassador's entry into this type of product.
In addition, CFC has launched its 2027 non-flight summer season, which went on sale almost 18 months in advance, and a second Caribbean cruise program with flights, with 10 departures planned between October 2026 and April 2027.
These initiatives reinforce the group's commitment to diversifying its offerings and creating unique travel experiences for a wider audience.
As part of the integration process, all operational, financial and IT functions have been centralized at Ambassador Cruise Line's main headquarters in Purfleet, UK, reporting directly to the group's global managers.
The Marseille-based CFC team will focus exclusively on sales and marketing for the Renaissance ship, supported by a strengthened commercial structure following the appointment of Gilles Chauvet as commercial director in September 2025.
Maëlysse Pierrot-Guibourt has been appointed CEO of France, reporting directly to the group's CEO, Christian Verhounig.
During the summer months, CFC will operate from Dunkirk and Marseille, while Ambassador will continue to offer itineraries for the British market from seven UK ports.
Furthermore, PEEL Entertainment has extended its onboard program to the Renaissance, while Ambassador's retail partner, Harding+, now manages the commercial spaces on all three ships in the fleet, ensuring a homogeneous and high-quality experience across all the group's operations.
With this integration, Ambassador Cruise Line and CFC establish a solid platform to expand their presence in Europe, reinforcing their growth strategy and their commitment to offering accessible, authentic, and sustainable cruise experiences for passengers from different markets.
