The Club Med 2 is the flagship of Club Med and has been sailing since 1992, when it took over from its predecessor, Club Med 1. Now, completely renovated, it arrives on the Spanish coast with two voyages that are, without a doubt, a Mediterranean dream, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the French brand, which opened its first resort on the island of Mallorca in 1950.
Club Med 2 not only invites you to discover exclusive destinations through its excursions, but also transforms each experience into something truly exceptional, combining style and elegance with wellness and adventure. Guests can enjoy supervised water sports—such as wakeboarding, windsurfing, and kayaking—designed for all ages from 8 years old and up.
The sailing ship, 187 meters long, with a 5-meter draft and 2,500 square meters of white sails, has 164 cabins of varying sizes, all offering spectacular sea views. With a crew of 338 and a capacity for 328 passengers, it sails the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter, closing this year's season with two magical routes through Spain and Morocco.
Route 1. From Catalonia to Andalusia (from October 18 to 25)
Traveling along the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast, Club Med begins its journey in Barcelona, a vibrant city whose culture and cutting-edge lifestyle make it the perfect starting point for the adventure. From there, we'll explore different destinations in just one week:
- Palma de Mallorca: it is one of our country's favorite tourist destinations and both its beaches and the historic center, with its imposing Gothic cathedral, are worth visiting.
- Valencia and Alicante: they are the perfect mix of history, modernity and Mediterranean flavor.
- Cartagena: the city offers a journey to the past within its walls, immersing us in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
- Puerto Banús/Marbella: where the charm of a traditional Andalusian village meets the luxury of exclusive boutiques and hotels, as well as dreamy beaches.
- Gibraltar: we will be surprised by the contrast between the national and the British, with its traditional Andalusian market and its iconic red telephone boxes.
- Málaga: Picasso's city, a fusion of culture, art, and sun. Club Med 2 offers an excursion that can be booked in advance.
Route 2. From Malaga to the Canary Islands (from October 25 to November 1)
Days after completing the first voyage, Cub Med 2 will begin its second route from Malaga, bound for Las Palmas, passing through both Spanish cities and Morocco.
- Ceuta: It is a unique enclave, the place where Europe and Africa converge and four cultures come together.
- Cadiz: charming alleyways, flamenco, beautiful beaches and a deeply festive atmosphere characterize what is the oldest city in Europe.
- Tangier: Club Med 2 opens the doors to Morocco through a visit to Tangier, a striking place with a magnetic charm.
- Safi: This stop is much quieter, allowing us to calmly enjoy the handcrafted ceramics, its historic medina, its Portuguese synagogues and palaces, and its views of the Atlantic.
- Agadir: the city that was reborn after being destroyed by an earthquake in 1960 offers a great wealth of culture and crafts.
- Arrecife: Lanzarote welcomes us with its unique volcanic landscape that contrasts with its green crops and tranquil beaches.
- Las Palmas: the largest city in the Canary Islands will invite us to enjoy its lively atmosphere, its golden sand beaches and a historic center full of life, being the perfect ending to the trip.
Waking up each morning to a new horizon, a new port, or a new beach is an unforgettable experience. With elegant, minimalist interiors designed by Sophie Jacqmin, Club Med 2 embraces the style of the French Riviera, paying homage to nautical tradition.
Guests can enjoy an exclusive atmosphere in both its two restaurants and bars, as well as an excellent program of nightly events that will even include a DJ session under the stars on the top deck.
The expertise of Club Med's Exclusive Collection category is perfectly reflected in the sailboat, as the variety of its offerings ensures that everyone can find something to enjoy. Highlights include its water sports, available on the stern of the sailboat, and, of course, its wellness experiences, such as the spa by Sothys on deck, the fitness center, and Yoga by Heberson.
Club Med specializes in guest care, and this philosophy applies not only to its resorts but also to the Club Med 2 sailing yacht. Therefore, it boasts two restaurants with unique atmospheres, where healthy, artisanal cuisine takes center stage. Using fresh, seasonal ingredients and a carefully curated selection of quality products, each dish is designed to satisfy every guest's tastes at any time of day.
With breathtaking sunsets and excursions filled with nature or culture, Club Med 2 continues to maintain its status as a legendary sailing ship, making it the perfect getaway for couples, friends, or families.
