Silversea has concluded its 2025 Arctic season after a series of voyages to some of the most remote and breathtaking frontiers on the planet. From May to September, the Silver Endeavour sailed the High Arctic, exploring isolated regions from Svalbard to Greenland and the Canadian Arctic. For the first time, the Silver Endeavour closed its Arctic season by crossing the legendary Northwest Passage, traveling from Nuuk, Greenland, to Nome, Alaska.

Departing from Leith (Edinburgh) on May 25, 2025, the Silver Endeavour embarked on voyages through the Canadian Arctic, Greenland and Svalbard, including its first journey through the Northwest Passage, a milestone that reinforces Silversea's commitment to pushing the boundaries of polar exploration.
Guests witnessed the rarest Arctic wildlife in its northernmost reaches, including thousands of beluga whales in the Churchill River estuary, multiple polar bear sightings in Nunavut and Svalbard, and approximately 500,000 nesting pairs of Brünnich's guillemots at Cape Wolstenholme (Nunavik)
The Arctic offered guests unique experiences, including a spectacular display of the Northern Lights and a guided hike in the Western Bluffs with local bear monitors. The trip culminated in an expedition to the edge of the ice, where travelers plunged into the frigid Arctic waters for a “polar dip.”.
The conclusion of the 2025 season reinforces Silversea's commitment to offering transformative voyages in both polar regions, as the company prepares to launch 21 new Arctic itineraries in 2026. Next year, both the Silver Endeavour and the Silver Wind will sail the extreme northern latitudes, taking guests to destinations such as Longyearbyen, Reykjavik, and Tromsø.
