The Celebrity Xcel, the newest ship in Celebrity Cruises, has successfully completed its sea trials under the command of Captain Kyriakos “Kirk” Matragkas.
The new ship will offer the best of the Edge class and incorporate innovative spaces such as a renovated pool club, a neon-lit arcade lounge, and exclusive spa experiences.
The Celebrity Xcel will debut in November 2025 with seven-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. In the summer of 2026, it will embark on its first European season with routes from Barcelona and Athens of 7 to 11 nights, including overnight stays in Madeira, Portugal.
