Costa Cruises has unveiled an itinerary that will take travelers to some of Asia's most fascinating destinations. The inaugural voyage is scheduled for November 12, 2025, offering the opportunity to experience the fully refurbished Costa Serena following its dry-dock completion in October of that year.
This 10-day cruise is designed to immerse passengers in the rich culture and landscapes of East Asia. From the vibrant streets of Taiwan to the Japanese coast, the experience combines exploration with a revamped onboard offering focused on comfort, cultural immersion, and more personalized service.
Bookings are now open. The itinerary includes stops in Keelung (Taiwan), a gateway to Taipei's vibrant street life, temples, and night markets; Jeju Island (South Korea), famous for its volcanic landscapes, waterfalls, and traditional villages; Busan (South Korea), a modern coastal city that combines beaches, fish markets, and contemporary architecture; Yatsushiro (Japan), offering the chance to discover Kyushu's cultural heritage and scenic coastline; and Nagasaki (Japan), a historic port city that reflects the fusion of East and West, renowned for its bay, monuments, and historical sites.
Boarding will be available from Hong Kong, Keelung, Busan or Nagasaki, with shorter itinerary options of eight, seven, five or four days, ideal for those seeking greater flexibility.
The redesign of the Costa Serena draws inspiration from Greek mythology. Among its new features are the golden figure of Atlas in the renovated Pummid'Oro Pizzeria and a 3D-printed cloud installation in the Main Lounge. Guests will also enjoy culinary offerings that fuse the best of Italian and Asian flavors, themed shows with mythological inspiration and a contemporary style, a redesigned Solemio Spa with new wellness rituals, renovated cabins, and the addition of premium suite categories.
Between November 21, 2025, and January 30, 2026, the ship will offer two alternating 14-day itineraries: one to Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, embarking in Hong Kong or Tokyo; and another to Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines, embarking in Hong Kong or Singapore. These itineraries can be combined to create a complete 28-night experience.
The Costa Serena will continue sailing around Asia throughout 2026, reaffirming its commitment to the region and consolidating its offering of flagship routes.
