Princess Cruises will have two ships based in Singapore for the second time when the Sapphire Princess joins the Diamond Princess for the 2026-27 season. This will allow both ships to offer a wider range of itineraries and more departure dates for guests to choose from during the 2026-27 season in Singapore.
The first time these two sister ships were based in Singapore was in 2018-2019. The Sapphire Princess was the first Princess ship to be stationed in Singapore, where it remained for six seasons, from 2014 to 2020. Each can accommodate up to 2,670 passengers.
The Diamond Princess will return to Singapore for the next season between December 2025 and February 2026, marking its third season in the region.
Sapphire Princess
The Sapphire Princess will offer 18 itineraries from Singapore, including round-trip cruises to Southeast Asia and the Far East, as well as special holiday cruises. Many itineraries include overnight stays in destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.
Specific itineraries:
- 33 nights from Los Angeles to Singapore: On October 15, 2025, the Sapphire Princess will depart from Los Angeles on a Pacific repositioning cruise, visiting destinations in Hawaii, Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong and Vietnam) and Yokohama before arriving in Singapore.
- Christmas and New Year: 14-day itinerary through Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, visiting eight destinations including Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Langkawi; Ho Chi Minh City; Sihanoukville (Cambodia); Phuket and Koh Samui, with one night in Bangkok.
- Chinese New Year / Valentine's Day (February 6, 2027): Passengers will be able to celebrate the Year of the Goat on board, on a 14-day cruise visiting 10 ports in Southeast Asia.
- Southeast Asia round trip: 10-16 day cruises departing from and returning to Singapore, visiting Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Diamond Princess
The Diamond Princess will have an extended season in Japan with 35 unique itineraries ranging from 7 to 28 days between February and November 2026. Afterwards, it will sail to Singapore, where it will offer cruises to 28 destinations in eight countries during 11 departures between November 2026 and March 2027.
Other highlights:
- The season begins and ends with cruises between Singapore and Japan, with itineraries of between 14 and 31 days passing through Taiwan, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
- Christmas and New Year: 14-day festive cruise with stops in Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok.
- Chinese New Year / Valentine's Day: 16-night cruise through Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, with scenic sailing through Ha Long Bay.
- 10-16 day round-trip cruises from Singapore, visiting Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.
Built in Japan, the Diamond Princess offers a unique experience tailored to the region.
