The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) is pleased to announce Manfredi Lefebvre, Chairman of Heritage Group and Co-Chairman of luxury travel company Abercrombie and Kent, as its Chairman-elect.
Lefebvre, who will take office in September during the 25th Global Summit of the world tourism body in Rome, Italy, has been a member of the WTTC for more than 20 years.
He will replace the current president, Greg O'Hara, founder and CEO of Certares Management LLC (“Certares”), who has held the position since November 2023.
Recognized as one of the most prominent names in the Travel and Tourism sector, Lefebvre brings more than four decades of experience in the cruise and leisure industries.
A visionary entrepreneur who transformed Silversea Cruises into a global leader, he currently leads diversified investments through Heritage Group, with a presence in biotechnology, medical technologies, energy transition, real estate, information technologies and premium spirits.
Greg O'Hara, who will continue as WTTC Chairman until the Global Summit in September, said: “I am delighted to announce Manfredi Lefebvre as Chairman-Elect. His experience and dedication to an industry he loves make him a great future Chairman.”.
