Norwegian Cruise Line unveils new images of the Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Bliss following their dry docking for the 2025 summer travel season, showcasing the company's commitment to offering its passengers MORE things to do and MORE things to enjoy.
With the arrival of summer, Norwegian Cruise Line invites its passengers to “Experience More at Sea,” enjoying the freedom and flexibility to design their dream vacation at sea. This summer, they can sail to destinations such as Alaska and Europe aboard newly refurbished ships.

Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Whether you dream of an Alaskan adventure, a cultural discovery in Europe, or dipping your toes in the sand on a Bermuda beach, NCL has a great vacation for every type of traveler this summer.”
By October 2025, Norwegian Cruise Line will have the most modern fleet in Alaska, with five ships sailing from key ports in the U.S. and Canada, including Seattle and Vancouver. This summer, guests can enjoy three of NCL’s newly refurbished Breakaway-Plus Class ships—Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore®, and Norwegian Joy®—built specifically for Alaskan cruising. The ships offer panoramic observation lounges and the Waterfront outdoor promenade. The newly refurbished Norwegian Bliss features Horizon Park, a new outdoor space with games, lounge areas, and spectacular Alaskan views. The sister ships, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy, offer refreshed spaces such as the new addition of Spice H2O, a complimentary adults-only outdoor lounge tucked away from the main pool deck, and a spacious, newly expanded Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Lounge, respectively.
With the most sailings from Seattle this summer season and through October 2025, NCL is offering seven-day round-trip cruises every Saturday or Sunday aboard the Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Encore, visiting some of Alaska's most beautiful destinations, including Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Sitka, and Victoria in British Columbia. The cruises include a stop at Icy Strait Point, home to Alaska's largest Tlingit Native village and abundant wildlife. Nine- and ten-day itineraries from Seattle are also available aboard the Norwegian Joy, with up to seven days in port to explore the region in depth.
In addition, there is the option of taking NCL Cruisetours that enhance the Alaska experience with visits to Denali, Fairbanks and unique activities such as the Iditarod musher camp.
NCL has more than 150 unique itineraries for passengers to choose their European vacations, with eight ships visiting the region, including two ships that were renovated this year, Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Epic®, and two of the newest ships in the NCL fleet, Norwegian Prima® and Norwegian Viva®.
This summer, the refurbished Norwegian Breakaway will sail the Mediterranean with new experiences like the Silver Screen Bistro and the open-air Horizon Park. Meanwhile, the revitalized Norwegian Epic offers expanded areas such as the Kids' Water Park and the exclusive Vibe Beach Club for adults. Both ships will operate 9- to 12-day itineraries from Rome, Barcelona, and Venice, with stops at iconic destinations in Italy and the Greek Islands.
In addition, travelers will be able to embark on the newest ships in the NCL fleet, the Norwegian Prima and the Norwegian Viva, which include itineraries through the Baltic, Northern Europe and the Greek Islands, with stops in cities such as Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, Berlin, Amsterdam and Bruges.
During the summer school holidays, NCL offers perfect family vacations with several ships sailing to the Caribbean and Bermuda, including the new Norwegian Aqua. With attractions like the Aqua Slidecoaster and Glow Court, along with entertainment and spa options, the Norwegian Aqua offers fun for everyone while cruising in the sunshine.
Currently, the Norwegian Aqua offers seven-day round-trip Caribbean cruises from Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida, one of the busiest ports in the United States, before embarking on a series of five- and seven-day voyages to Bermuda from New York between August 2025 and October 2025. In the fall, the ship will return to Miami for a seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruise season between October 2025 and April 2026, visiting Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian's private island in the Bahamas. Great Stirrup Cay will debut new family amenities in late 2025, including a multi-boat pier, a large heated pool, and a swim-up bar.
In addition to the new Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Getaway® and Norwegian Jewel® will also offer seven-day round-trip cruises to the beautiful island of Bermuda, sailing from New York and Boston, respectively. Perfect for passengers looking to soak up the sun and sand this summer, these beach-bound itineraries include overnight stops at the Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda, and the chance to discover the island's turquoise waters and pink sand beaches.
