The Carnival Miracle has kicked off Carnival Cruise Line 's summer cruise season in Europe , after completing an extensive dry dock refurbishment in Cadiz, Spain.
The ship welcomed its first guests after returning to service from Lisbon, Portugal, on Sunday. Passengers who embarked this weekend were the first to enjoy a range of upgrades, from the addition of new spaces, such as the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, to renovated public areas, such as the Cloud 9 Spa.
The Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge is a gathering space that pays tribute to the many active-duty and veteran military personnel who sail with Carnival. With its addition to the Carnival Miracle, this bar is now present on 15 ships in the fleet.
The ship also now features a new Carnival Adventures, offering a refreshed space where passengers can plan and book shore excursions. The mini-golf areas and nightclub have been redesigned with new layouts and styles to enhance the cruise experience for guests of all ages and interests. In addition, the casino has been expanded. The Camp Ocean and Teen Club have also been renovated with brighter designs and new upgrades.
A dedicated Chef's Table space was added on Deck One, creating a new setting for Carnival's signature culinary experience. A new Dreams Studio was also incorporated , offering a refreshed environment for professional photography.
Other common areas such as the Cloud 9 Spa , the adults-only Serenity retreat , Club O2 , the Java Blue cafe and the Lido Marketplace were also renovated.
Guests sailing from Lisbon on the Carnival Miracle will enjoy a seven-day itinerary with stops in A Coruña and Bilbao (Spain); and Le Verdon (Bordeaux) and Le Havre (Paris) in France. The ship will then arrive in Dover (London), England, where it will embark on a series of nine- and twelve-day cruises to must-see destinations in the British Isles, Scandinavia, the Baltic, and Northern Europe.
Later this summer, the Carnival Miracle will relocate to Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, to operate cruises that include stops at Italian ports, as well as in France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey. In November, the Carnival Miracle will return to the United States to establish a new homeport in Tampa, Florida. From there, it will sail six-, seven-, and eight-day cruises to destinations in the Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean.
