Swan Hellenic has presented the results of its recently concluded 2024-2025 Antarctic season, and the data is extraordinary: there has been a 25% increase in the number of passengers and a 35% increase in net revenue compared to the 2023-2024 season.
This level of achievement makes it clear that the excellent feedback from guests—to travel advisors, on social media and through other channels—is having a major impact, further strengthening Swan Hellenic's unique reputation as a global leader in exceptional onboard experiences and expeditions.
A highlight of the season was the opportunity to experience nature more intensely through expert-led snowshoe excursions, included at no extra cost. Following their great popularity with passengers, these activities will now be incorporated as a standard part of Swan Hellenic's Antarctic cruises, snow conditions permitting. These excursions, which last approximately an hour and a half, will be led by two experienced mountaineers and will allow both beginners and advanced guests to explore beyond what a conventional landing permits, as snowshoes make walking on soft snow much easier.
Thanks to innovations like this and the constant recommendations and publications from travelers, the company has confirmed that there is already an even greater interest in Antarctic expedition cultural cruises for the 2025-2026 season.
Patrizia Iantorno, Commercial Director of Swan Hellenic, commented: “We are very proud of what these positive results reflect in terms of our guests' satisfaction with our itineraries, onboard experts, expedition guides, chefs, and crew. Many of them recommend us and return with family and friends. But we continue to strive to enhance the exceptional experience we offer, as demonstrated by the innovative addition of snowshoeing excursions.”.
