Norwegian Cruise Line has welcomed the first guests aboard the Norwegian Aqua ahead of its maiden voyage from Lisbon to Southampton, England. Marking a new chapter in the evolution of the NCL fleet, the Norwegian Aqua is hosting more than 2,000 special guests to experience how the brand is delivering MORE with its latest innovations and services. This is the first in a five-part inaugural series, culminating in Miami with the official christening voyage in April.
As the first Prima Plus-class ship, Norwegian Aqua expands on the Prima-class legacy and introduces groundbreaking experiences that allow guests to enjoy MORE of what they love about cruising with NCL. Passengers on this exclusive inaugural voyage will be the first to experience the ship's innovative attractions and amenities. To celebrate the occasion, NCL is offering a first look at its twentieth ship, showcasing its sophisticated design and key innovations.

Leading the list is the thrilling Aqua Slidecoaster, the world’s first hybrid roller coaster and water slide. Guests can also enjoy Glow Court, a state-of-the-art digital sports complex with an interactive LED floor that dynamically adapts for different games during the day and transforms into a club at night. Additionally, the Aqua Game Zone reimagines NCL’s beloved Galaxy Pavilion, offering entertainment for all ages with a combination of retro arcade games, immersive virtual reality challenges, and interactive gaming experiences.
Entertainment abounds on board the Norwegian Aqua, with a lineup of world-class shows created in collaboration with leading industry talent. Guests can also embark on culinary adventures with 17 new and popular restaurants, plus 18 bars and lounges. Among the new dining experiences on the Norwegian Aqua is Sukhothai, NCL's first specialty Thai restaurant. Also debuting is Planterie, the brand's first plant-based restaurant, located in the Indulge Food Hall.
Following its maiden voyage, the Norwegian Aqua will make a transatlantic cruise to the United States, where it will be officially christened in Miami on April 13, 2025, with Emmy® Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet serving as its godfather. Subsequently, it will be homeported in Miami, the Cruise Capital of the World, as well as Port Canaveral (Orlando) and New York, offering itineraries to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Bermuda through March 2027.
