Silversea has unveiled its 2028 World Cruise, An Ode to the Moment. For the first time, the Silver Shadow will depart from Miami on a Silversea World Cruise, sailing on January 5 and arriving in Nice on May 16. The 132-day itinerary will include 58 destinations in 29 countries, with 17 overnight stays.
Designed by Silversea’s leading destination experts, this voyage will allow guests to discover the unique cultures and histories of the Caribbean, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, connecting with more than 30 UNESCO World Heritage sites. A series of exclusive events and optional shore excursions will offer privileged access to tailor-made experiences, all in signature Silversea style.

This journey will explore the southernmost destinations and visit hidden gems, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the customs and cultures of remote places in an authentic and meaningful way, as only Silversea knows how. Across nine chapters, An Ode to the Moment will allow travelers to discover the pulse of each destination.
CHAPTER 1: ANTHEM TO THE TROPICS
From Miami to Cartagena, Anthem to the Tropics will take guests on a deeper exploration of the Caribbean, with stops in popular ports like Willemstad and Cartagena, as well as lesser-known gems such as Jost Van Dyke, Gustavia, and Kralendijk. With extended stays in port, travelers can experience the best of the Caribbean both day and night.
CHAPTER 2: THE JUNGLE KINGDOM
From Cartagena to Valparaíso. In Cartagena, guests will experience the cruise's first SALT program shore event, enjoying a Colombian coffee workshop. They will also transit the iconic Panama Canal and explore Embera hospitality and ancient rituals. In Callao (Lima), they will experience A Garden of Moments, an exclusive event at the Pedro de Osma Museum, available only on Silversea's 2028 World Cruise.
CHAPTER 3: LANDS OF FIRE AND ICE
During the Tierras de Fuego y Hielo (Land of Fire and Ice) tour, travelers will follow in the footsteps of explorers as they round Cape Horn. From Valparaíso to Buenos Aires, they will have the opportunity to observe the region's unique wildlife, such as sea lions and Magellanic or King penguins. Additionally, there will be SALT culinary experiences in Ushuaia and Buenos Aires, where guests can sample the traditional Chilean Curanto, renowned Argentine Malbec wines , and asado (barbecue). An optional tour to marvel at the breathtaking Iguazu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also available.
CHAPTER 4: THE RHYTHM OF TRADITION
In The Rhythm of Tradition, travelers will immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of South America, including the world's greatest spectacle: the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, with preferential access to the Sambadrome, for a privileged view of the dazzling samba parades, steel drums and dazzling costumes.
CHAPTER 5: THE SANDS OF TIME
After Carnival, guests will cross the Atlantic from Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town on The Sands of Time, exploring hidden treasures of the South Atlantic, such as St. Helena. Once in Africa, they will discover the iconic Walvis Bay and the Namibian coast before arriving in Cape Town, where they can join an optional tour to spend a night on Table Mountain.
CHAPTER 6: NATURE IN VERSE
From safaris in South Africa to exploring the culture and heritage of Mauritius, Nature in Verse offers the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. In Mauritius, World Cruise guests will experience A Day in Paradise on Ile aux Cerfs, with white sand beaches, Creole cuisine, and the traditional Sega dance.
CHAPTER 7: STORIES OF SPICES AND SILK
This segment offers 10 days of exploration in the Arabian Peninsula, with overnight stays in Muscat, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. SALT culinary experiences and optional excursions will be offered, such as a land journey from Mahé to Muscat, where travelers can venture into Rwanda to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
CHAPTER 8: THE ANCIENT KINGDOM
Following the exploration of Africa and Arabia, The Old Kingdom will take travelers through the wonders of the Red Sea, from the breathtaking ruins of Petra to the majestic temples of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.
CHAPTER 9: ECHOES OF EMPIRES
In the final chapter, guests will explore lesser-known corners of the Mediterranean, visiting exclusive destinations such as Milos, Agropoli, and Diano National Park. The journey will culminate with A Timeless Farewell, an exclusive experience for passengers.
