Ambassador Cruise Line is offering three exciting entertainment initiatives to its guests in the coming months. These include an 80s-themed cruise, a rock and roll show, and a competition to discover the greatest literary talent.
Relive the 80s with a nostalgic four-night cruise
In May 2025, passengers will have the opportunity to embark on a four-night cruise aboard the Ambience, which pays homage to the 80s while exploring two fascinating destinations: Belgium and the Netherlands.
This special cruise, departing on May 1, 2025, from London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury, will combine culture, nostalgia, and entertainment. Highlights include themed cabaret shows, menus featuring classic dishes from the decade, costume contests, and exercise classes inspired by the era's iconic leg warmers and leotards.
At the Palladium Theatre, the cruise will feature performances by 80s icons such as The Fizz (a group formed by original Bucks Fizz members Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston) and Toyah Wilcox, the singer and actress also famous for Strictly Come Dancing.
Destinations include Zeebrugge, Belgium, the gateway to the cobbled streets and historic charm of Bruges, and Ijmuiden, Netherlands, a port city that offers access to vibrant Amsterdam.
Enjoy the 'Retro Rock Rebellion' show
In December 2024, Ambassador will present a new rock and roll show called Retro Rock Rebellion as part of its onboard entertainment program on the Ambition.
The show will be set in a biker/rock bar on a warm summer night in the USA. A group of young aspiring rock stars will take the stage with an open mic and a jukebox to showcase their talent
Playwriting Competition: 'Ambassador PEEL Playwriting Challenge 2025'
Ambassador Cruise Line, together with PEEL Entertainment Group, will launch the Ambassador PEEL Playwriting Challenge 2025, with entries opening in January 2025.
This competition will offer both experienced and emerging playwrights the opportunity to submit their plays to be performed on board an Ambassador ship as part of PEEL's Theatre@Sea program
The selected playwrights will have the opportunity to visit the ship and see their plays performed by professional actors. The winner will receive a cash prize and a free cruise for two in 2026.
These initiatives promise to offer something for everyone, from theater and music lovers to those looking to relive memorable eras or simply enjoy a unique experience at sea.
