The Aroya, the first ship of the Aroya Cruises, has departed from Bremerhaven, Germany, bound for its home port in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from where it will make its highly anticipated inaugural voyage scheduled for December 16, 2024.
According to a press release, Aroya Cruises' first ship has undergone one of the world's largest cruise ship renovations, with 95% of its interiors redesigned during its dry dock stays in Bremerhaven and Rotterdam.
The refurbished ship boasts unique features that redefine the passenger experience, including a souk-inspired shopping district, home to the largest retail space ever seen on a cruise ship; a state-of-the-art spa, ideal for rest and relaxation; 29 dining options encompassing a wide variety of international cuisines; 20 entertainment venues designed to delight passengers of all ages; and one of the largest children's play areas at sea, promising fun for families. With this significant redesign and innovative services, the Aroya is poised to offer a new standard of luxury and entertainment in the cruise industry.
The Aroya's inaugural voyage will be a unique three-night experience taking passengers to a private island in the Red Sea, developed by Cruise Saudi, a company owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and also the owner of Aroya Cruises.
