One year after guests were able to experience and enjoy their first trips on the Mein Schiff Relax, TUI Cruises will inaugurate its ninth newly built ship in 2026: the Mein Schiff Flow, the second ship in the InTUItion class.
“We are delighted to be able to meet the growing demand for cruises with Mein Schiff Flow. Our ninth newly built ship follows the model of the Mein Schiff Relax, which also belongs to the InTUItion class,” explains Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises. “The eponymous ‘flow’ is reflected in the ship’s overall design, as well as in the special atmosphere on board, which makes it easy to let go, relax, and slow down.”.
Light and airy design are evident in the public areas, suites, and cabins. Guests aboard the Mein Schiff Flow can expect the ultimate in enjoyment, freedom, and relaxation, for which the Mein Schiff fleet has always set the standard on the world's oceans. This includes the all-inclusive Mein Schiff Premium services and a wide range of options for unforgettable experiences at sea.
With the Mein Schiff Flow, TUI Cruises will launch its third new ship in three years. “This will increase fleet capacity by almost 60 percent,” explains Wybcke Meier. “This steady and sustainable expansion is part of our long-term strategy, particularly to meet the growing demand for experience-oriented cruises. Expanding the fleet not only creates more capacity but also allows us to reach different target groups and access new markets.” The Hamburg-based cruise line is also focusing on environmental and climate protection with the new class of ships. The Mein Schiff Relax and the Mein Schiff Flow will run on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and will be equipped with upgraded catalytic converters and shore power connections. In the future, the ships will also be able to run on low-emission, climate-friendly biogas and liquefied natural gas (E-LNG), a further step towards climate-neutral cruising.
The Mein Schiff Flow is being built at the Fincantieri shipyards in Italy. It is scheduled to enter service in 2026.
