Princess Cruises has unveiled the new features of the Star Princess, the second ship in the Sphere class, which will debut in the fall of 2025. The Star Princess, a replica of the sensational Sun Princess that now sails the Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale, will offer several exclusive upgrades, including smoke-free casino areas, as well as an expanded selection of dining and entertainment options.
The Star Princess, with a capacity for 4,300 passengers and a weight of 178,000 tons, is the second ship in the Sphere class of the Princess fleet and will also be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), reflecting the brand's commitment to sustainability.
Like the Sun Princess, the Star Princess will also feature cutting-edge features such as The Dome, the first geodesic dome at sea, and The Sphere, a stunning glass-enclosed Piazza at the heart of the ship.

New highlights aboard Star Princess:
- Expansion of non-smoking casino areas: Gaming enthusiasts who prefer a smoke-free environment can enjoy 68 additional machines in the casino's newly designated non-smoking sections.
- O'Malley's Irish Pub Expansion: With 32 more seats, this popular venue will accommodate more passengers who want to enjoy traditional Irish food, live music and a selection of beers and whiskeys.
- Love by Britto expansion: This exclusive art-inspired restaurant, the result of a collaboration between artist Romero Britto and chef Rudi Sodamin, will add 20 more seats so passengers can savor its unique seven-course fusion menu.
- New SkyDeck sports court: The most active passengers will enjoy the new pickleball and basketball court, as well as the jogging track and areas for both family fun and relaxation.
With a total of 2,157 staterooms, including 80 suites, 123 mini-suites, over 1,000 balcony staterooms, and 100 connecting staterooms, the Star Princess offers a variety of accommodations to suit every preference. The Sanctuary Collection, the ultimate in luxury on Princess, features exclusive access to the ship's upper deck relaxation area, along with a range of additional, high-end amenities designed to enhance your voyage. Available to guests in suites, mini-suites, and the 12 luxury balcony staterooms, it includes exclusive private dining and relaxation areas, a luxurious in-room experience, and the Princess Premier package to complete the all-inclusive Sanctuary experience.
