CroisiEurope has expanded its popular Hiking Cruise program for 2025, adding two new itineraries in the Rhine Valley and the Gironde.
The cruises, which include guided walks through some of the most beautiful scenery, are perfect for both hikers and non-hikers, with a selection of excursions available for those passengers who are not interested in hiking.
The Rhine Valley
A five-night round-trip Rhine Valley cruise from Strasbourg, featuring a stunning mix of landscapes, cultures and history through Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Mainz and Rastatt.
Hikers will enjoy a walk to the Kühkopf and Hasenberg mountains near Koblenz, excursions along the picturesque Rhine and Hibou trails, as well as to Eberbach Monastery near Rüdesheim, and a unique treetop walk in the Black Forest. Non-hikers can choose excursions to Rüdesheim, including Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet, Koblenz and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Mainz and the Gutenberg Museum, and the elegant spa town of Baden-Baden.
The cruise aboard the MS Gerard Schmitter departs on August 28, 2025 and includes all meals and drinks, excursions and guided tours, port taxes and repatriation insurance.
The Gironde
A four-night round-trip cruise from Bordeaux to explore the Gironde, walking along the banks of an estuary dotted with traditional fishermen's cottages, through Bordeaux and its historic center, along the Fort-Médoc Loop following in the footsteps of the French military engineer Vauban, and on to the medieval town of Saint-Émilion and its vineyards.
Hikers will enjoy an urban walk through the center of Bordeaux, the Fort-Médoc Loop following in Vauban's footsteps, a circular route through the vineyards and citadel near Blaye, and a day in the hills and slopes of Saint-Émilion. Non-hikers can enjoy guided tours of the Médoc Wine Route, Blaye and its Vauban citadel, and the medieval town of Saint-Émilion.
The cruise on the MS Cyrano de Bergerac departs on October 13, 2025 and includes all meals and drinks, guided walks and excursions, port fees and repatriation insurance.
With these two new cruises, CroisiEurope now offers eight Hiking Cruises to various destinations including Croatia and Montenegro, the Douro Valley, Corsica, the Rhône and Saône regions, Venice to Mantua and along the Danube.
