MSC Cruises invites its customers to extend their holidays into October, November and December with a variety of Mediterranean cruises, where you can still enjoy good weather even as Christmas approaches.
One of the most popular destinations for Spaniards during these months is undoubtedly the Canary Islands. MSC Cruises is offering an itinerary departing from Santa Cruz de Tenerife with stops in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Funchal (Madeira), from November 3, 2024, to March 16, 2025, on 7-night cruises. Furthermore, in line with strengthening connections between the Spanish mainland and these destinations, MSC Cruises is offering passengers direct flights from Madrid, Barcelona, and Bilbao to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Spain stands out as one of the sunniest places in Europe this season and is the perfect starting point for those who want to continue soaking up the sun. Valencia is notable not only for its rich history and culture but also for being one of the sunniest cities in the country. Between October and December, the city on the Turia River will be the departure port for various MSC Cruises itineraries, including sailings on the elegant MSC Fantasia, the innovative MSC Seaside , and the welcoming MSC Lirica. The latter will also offer weekly departures throughout the winter, allowing travelers to enjoy the city and the Mediterranean at any time of the season.
In October, November, and December, the Mediterranean destinations where MSC Cruises calls typically enjoy temperatures up to 28°C and around 295 hours of sunshine per month, with very little chance of rain*. Therefore, it's the perfect time to explore must-see attractions with fewer tourists and enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere.

- With 272 hours of sunshine: La Goulette, Tunisia –MSC Cruises has two ships calling at La Goulette, Tunisia, between October and December of this year, MSC Grandiosa and MSC Fantasia, with departures from Barcelona.

With an average of 265 hours of sunshine in October and around 220 hours in November and December, Athens is the ideal refuge from the cold. MSC Sinfonia offers seven-night itineraries with a stop in the Athenian port of Piraeus throughout the winter, and MSC Splendida offers nine-night itineraries from October to November of this year. For both itineraries, MSC Cruises offers included direct flights from Madrid to Bari for MSC Sinfonia, and from Madrid to Trieste and from Barcelona to Venice for embarkation on MSC Splendida.
Valletta, Malta, is one of the sunniest destinations in Europe during winter, boasting 263 hours of sunshine in October and over 209 hours in November. Marseille, France, follows closely behind, offering an average of 262 hours of sunshine in October and up to 239 hours per month throughout the rest of the winter season. The MSC World Europe, departing from Barcelona, includes stops in Valletta and Marseille this winter. Meanwhile, the MSC Fantasia and MSC Lirica, with departures from Barcelona, Tarragona, and Valencia between October and December, also offer itineraries to Marseille.
