Celestyal celebrates the first anniversary of the Celestyal Journey, covering 66,100 nautical miles in its first year, mainly around the Greek Islands and the Mediterranean, with 30 stops in Mykonos and Santorini, 35 in Heraklion (Crete), 29 on the island of Milos, 31 in Thessaloniki and 37 in Kusadasi (Ephesus).
The 55,877-ton vessel joined Celestyal's fleet last year and, after a multi-million-dollar renovation, made its maiden voyage for the cruise line on September 2, 2023: the seven-night Idyllic Aegean itinerary from Athens to Thessaloniki, Kusadasi, Heraklion (Crete), Santorini, Mykonos and Milos.
The 219-meter-long Journey features an entire deck dedicated to wellness: the Sozo Experience, with a fully equipped gym overlooking the sea, massage rooms, and beauty and treatment areas; and the Drift Den, an area available to Penthouse and Grand Suite guests with private thermal suites, a relaxation room, and a private jacuzzi. The ship also boasts two swimming pools and two additional jacuzzis. During its first year, 85,000 coffees were consumed at the onboard café, Café Nation, and 60,000 pints of beer, 150,000 cocktails, 55,000 spirits, and 20,000 juices, smoothies, and milkshakes were served in its seven restaurants and eight bars.
The Celestyal Journey welcomes 1,260 guests and 600 crew members, including eight married couples and 32 family members who pride themselves on offering the personal and warm hospitality of their Greek origin.
This ship has been operating seven-night cruises on the Idyllic Aegean and Sublime Adriatic itineraries this year and will begin a new seven-night itinerary from Doha in November of this year as it chases the sun, returning to Greece in March of next year.
The Celestyal Journey's inaugural voyage in the Arabian Gulf will be a seven-night cruise, Amazing Desert & Qatar Grand Prix, sailing round trip from Doha departing on November 30, 2024. This voyage will begin by staying in Doha port for the first three days to cover the Qatar Grand Prix, before spending the night in Dubai Marina and calling at Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island, and Abu Dhabi.
The inaugural seven-night Celestyal Journey across the Arabian Gulf's breathtaking desert sails round trip from Doha, with stops in Dubai, Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and Khalifa Bin Salman (Bahrain). Special holiday departures from Doha are also available on December 21 and 28 this year.
