Windstar Cruises will commemorate its 40th anniversary with two special cruises: the Aegean Odyssey on October 12 aboard the Star Legend, and the Treasures of the Greek Islands on October 13 aboard the Wind Spirit.
The Star Legend and the Wind Spirit will meet in Kusadasi on October 16 for a celebration in Ephesus with live music and a five-course dinner.
“Windstar has had an extraordinary 40 years in which the company has remained dedicated to small-ship cruising with long-duration voyages in Tahiti, the Caribbean and Europe,” said Windstar President Christopher Prelog.
“Windstar has carved out its own niche with luxury yachts that provide a welcoming atmosphere and the luxury of space and freedom to explore scenic regions and smaller ports, but it is really our crew who have made our brand successful, standing the test of time with a friendly smile, remembering our previous guests and greeting them by name“.
“These are the moments that have brought our guests back time and time again throughout our 40 years, and that's what we want to focus on this anniversary: our relationships and our dedicated team“.
The celebrations will continue across the fleet from October 2024 to October 2025 with special events, including:
- Complimentary Ruby Anniversary cocktails in a special "40 Years of Windstar" trivia game on board.
- The winners of the trivia contest will be entered into a random draw in December 2025 to win a cruise for two on the Star Seeker's maiden voyage.
- Limited edition handbags, made from recycled Wind Surf sails, can be purchased in the ship's shops.
