Royal Caribbean International has appointed Gerard Nolan as Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) of Royal Caribbean International.
In his new role, Gerard will manage the day-to-day operations of the brand in EMEA, overseeing the sales, marketing, and commercial teams.
Gerard Nolan has been working at Royal Caribbean Group since 2016, for the Celebrity Cruises brand. During this time, he has held various management positions and has been responsible for leading and driving the commercial strategy.
Most recently, he held the position of Associate Vice President of Commercial at Celebrity Cruises, overseeing EMEA and providing strategic support for the Australia and Asia Pacific regions.
Gerard Nolan joins the Royal Caribbean International team at an exciting time for the brand, both in EMEA and around the world. Icon of the Seas, the first of two new ship launches this year, continues to break records, and last week the brand welcomed Utopia of the Seas.
Utopia is ready to bring the energy of the weekend with the ultimate short breaks when it debuts in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, this July.
Royal Caribbean's second Icon-class ship, Star of the Seas, is set to launch next summer, and also coming soon, in 2025, is the cruise line's latest signature destination, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.
Gerard Nolan will report to Angie Stephens, Senior Vice President of International at Royal Caribbean International, and will be supported by a strong management team, including:

Gerard Nolan's appointment comes after the news that Ben Bouldin, current senior vice president of EMEA, will move to Shanghai, China, in August to take over as president of Royal Caribbean International, China.
