Crystal Cruises will offer a special voyage tracing the path of the Allied forces during World War II, commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Aboard the Crystal Symphony, from September 18-26, 2024.
This immersive journey brings together an extraordinary group of special guests and speakers, offering an exclusive insight into one of the most significant events in modern history.
Departing from Dover, England, guests will embark on an 8-night journey, following in the footsteps of the brave men and women who shaped the course of the war.
The carefully designed itinerary includes stops in Ijmuiden, 17 miles from Amsterdam, for the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden. The journey continues to Zeebrugge, Belgium, with an optional excursion to Dunkirk, before arriving in Rouen, France, for a three-day stay, where guests also have the option to explore the D-Day landing sites in Normandy.
Special guests and speakers
- Dr. Erica Miller: Dr. Miller, an international best-selling author and Holocaust survivor, will offer a compelling account of her journey from her childhood in Romania to her life under the brutal Nazi regime and her subsequent immigration to the United States.
- George Luz Jr: Luz will share captivating stories about his father and other members of Easy Company, who parachuted into Normandy on D-Day and participated in Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge.
- Commander Robert E. Bradshaw: Commander Bradshaw (Retired), a respected Navy chaplain with a distinguished military career of almost four decades, will offer insights into his service and experiences with various military units, including deployments to conflict zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
