Explora Journeyshas announced the stops that its two ships, EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II, will make in Spain during 2024.
Explora Journeys' two ships will make a total of 42 calls in Spain this year, visiting 15 ports. By choosing different Spanish cities as ports of embarkation or port of call, the company will contribute to the local economy of these destinations.

EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II Scales
During its 17 stops in Spain, EXPLORA I will visit 10 different national ports, including Barcelona, Santa Cruz de la Palma, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Arrecife (Lanzarote), Valencia, Malaga, Cartagena (Murcia), Cadiz, Alicante and Motril (Granada).
For its part, EXPLORA II will begin sailing this summer from Barcelona and will make 25 stops in Spanish territory during this year, visiting 10 Spanish ports during its inaugural season, including Barcelona, Tarragona, Ibiza, Mahón (Menorca), Málaga, Cádiz, Puerto Banús (Marbella), Motril (Granada), Valencia and Palma de Mallorca.

One example is the Anthology, where world-renowned chefs create a variety of signature menus based on the ship's itinerary.
Furthermore, the Ocean Wellness spa center offers nearly 1,000 m2 of indoor and outdoor wellness and fitness facilities, treatment rooms and a beauty salon to achieve total relaxation and disconnection.
The Journey, a boutique by the sea
Guests of Explora Journeys will also have the option of experiencing a highly exclusive onboard shopping experience called The Journey. This boutique features iconic luxury watch brands such as Cartier and Panerai, as well as Piaget jewelry and watches, and the first Rolex boutique at sea.
The Journey is the first cruise ship shopping offering that relies on partners with demanding environmental credentials, such as B Corp certification or The Butterfly Mark, to ensure sustainable production practices.
Explora Journeys itineraries on the Spanish coasts
The Spanish stops are included in a series of unique itineraries through the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, among which the following stand out:
- TRANSLANTIC (EXPLORA I): from May 31 to June 19.
This journey will take international travelers from the beaches of Miami to the shores of Spain. EXPLORA I will cross the Atlantic Ocean to reach Spain, where it will visit the spectacular coasts of Santa Cruz de La Palma and Arrecife. This journey will conclude with stops in Málaga, the exclusive city of Cartagena, and a landing in Barcelona.
- A TRIP FROM REEF TO BARCELONA (EXPLORE I): from June 12 to 19.
This journey along the Spanish coast will give passengers the opportunity to discover hidden gems. Arrecife will welcome travelers who will continue their journey to Casablanca (Morocco), where the fusion of modernity and tradition will provide a comprehensive view of the city.
Continuing the journey, Tangier will be the place to say goodbye to the country before returning to the Spanish coast where Malaga, Cartagena and Valencia are the next stops before disembarking in the Catalan capital, Barcelona.
- THE ITALIAN RIVIERA AND THE BALEARIC COAST (EXPLORE II)
Among the various itineraries embarking in Barcelona and disembarking in Civitavecchia, this route, from September 9th to 16th, stands out, offering visits to the most exclusive ports on the Mediterranean coast. Ibiza will be one of the destinations where the ship will extend its stopover by one night.
- ANDALUSIAN COAST AND NORTH AFRICA (EXPLORE II): From October 16 to 25.
Travelers will be able to create a series of unforgettable memories. After embarking in Barcelona, guests of EXPLORA II can visit vibrant cities and towns brimming with architectural richness, such as Cádiz, Marbella, and Granada. This destination will also have a landing in Barcelona.
Explora Journeys continues to work on its relationship with the different Spanish ports to continue offering itineraries in which Spain is the protagonist in 2025 and 2026, with unique destination experiences in which guests can discover the secrets of each port.
