Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has renovated the Norwegian Joy, including great new features that guests can enjoy on board.
These include a new Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa and Salon, the redesign of The Haven by Norwegian Premier Owner's Suites, an expanded Vibe Beach Club and 24 new balcony staterooms, following a three-week dry dock period.
“Our guests requested these enhancements to the Norwegian Joy, and we delivered,” said David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We strive to improve the onboard experience based on the wishes and needs of our travelers, and this is another example of how we put them first in our decision-making.”

Among the new features of the Norwegian Joy and the guest experience on board is the addition of the new and spacious Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon.
Guests of the Norwegian Joy will enjoy more amenities as part of NCL's renowned Mandara Spa experience, which was named "Best Spa" by Cruise Critic editors in their 2023 Editor's Picks Awards.
In addition, The Haven by Norwegian Premier Owner's Suites with large balconies on Norwegian Joy have been expanded to three bedrooms. The two new suites include three bedrooms; three and a half bathrooms; a living room, master bedroom, and updated balcony furnishings; as well as a new separate dining area overlooking The Haven Horizon Lounge, located forward.
In addition to the ship's new offerings, the Norwegian Joy features 21 bars and lounges; 16 complimentary and specialty restaurants; and a 400-meter oceanfront promenade.
The ship also features activities for all types of travelers such as the Norwegian Joy Speedway; an Aqua Park; a mini-golf course; and world-class onboard entertainment, including “Elements” and “Deal or No Deal”.
The Norwegian Joy emerged from its three-week dry dock period in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on February 11, 2024, before embarking on an 11-day transatlantic voyage from Southampton, UK, to Miami.
This recently renovated cruise ship currently offers seven-day round-trip Caribbean voyages from Miami before sailing to New York in the summer of 2024, offering cruises to Bermuda with overnight stays on the island.
Guests can book Norwegian Joy cruises with Free at Sea , which offers complimentary add-ons such as unlimited open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, shore excursion credits, and, on select voyages, the third and fourth guests sail free, as well as a free airline ticket for the second guest.
