Belinda Hindmarsh, Deputy Managing Director of the Global Business Group, stated: “Navin’s unwavering commitment and expertise have been tremendously valuable to PONANT over the past 10 years. Navin has played a pivotal role in enhancing our brand and developing the business in the Americas, for both Ponant and Paul Gauguin Cruises.
“I am delighted that Navin has agreed to stay on as a Strategic Advisor. At the same time, I am thrilled to welcome Samuel, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the luxury sector to the team, helping us to capitalize on the fantastic opportunity ahead as we continue to expand Ponant's presence in the Americas and internationally.”
Chamberlain's career is marked by leadership positions in various facets of the global luxury travel industry. Prior to joining PONANT, he was Vice President of Business Development at Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, co-owner and operator of Four Seasons Yachts, where he played a key role as a member of the executive management team. He holds a degree in Economics from Harvard University.
Samuel Chamberlain stated: “Ponant’s reputation for providing luxury experiences and access to the world’s most remote destinations is unmatched. I am delighted to join Belinda Hindmarsh’s team to lead the Americas during a pivotal time in the company’s transformation. It is an honor to join a team that already consistently exceeds the expectations of its guests and partners.”
Sawhney also shared his thoughts on the transition: “As I take on a new role as Strategic Advisor to Ponant CEO Hervé Gastinel and Belinda Hindmarsh, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity I have had to be part of this 10-year journey with Ponant.”
Both Chamberlain and Sawhney will take up their positions in Ponant's New York office.
