Michael Ungerer will be leaving Explora Journeys for personal reasons.
Ungerer has held the position of CEO for almost five years and during this time has played a key role in the strategic positioning of Explora Journeys, from its inception as a luxury lifestyle brand and the launch of the firm's first ship, EXPLORA I.
Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Group's Cruise Division, commented: “It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Michael as we brought this incredible new brand to life and built everything from the ground up. I would like to thank Michael for his efforts and contribution. We wish him all the best for the future.”

Michael Ungerer will remain as an advisor to Explora Journeys until the end of August, and Pierfrancesco Vago will temporarily assume his responsibilities as CEO.
