Princess Cruises has taken delivery of the Sun Princess. However, some work still needs to be completed, so the maiden voyage has been moved from February 18th to 28th.
The ship needs to remain next to the shipyard to allow additional technical work to ensure that an exceptional holiday is offered.
As a result, the cruise line has cancelled the February 18th voyage. The Sun Princess will now make its maiden voyage from Rome on February 28th.
Guests who had a reservation for the February 18th voyage will receive a full refund of the cruise and any pre-booked onboard additional services, as well as a 50% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) that can be used on a future Princess voyage.
The cruise company is also offering financial reimbursement for certain travel expenses for guests who have already arrived before their departure and for guests who have not yet started their trip.
