Royal Caribbean International has revealed the first details of the new Icon Class, the Star of the Seas, and the vacations it will offer.
Starting in August 2025, vacationers have a new way to travel from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, with seven-night Caribbean getaways to the cruise line's top-rated private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, in the Bahamas. The debut Star cruise is now available to book on the Royal Caribbean website.
Travelers can island hop in style on the next iconic vacation in the Eastern or Western Caribbean and the Bahamas. The vacations, which are available to book now, feature destinations such as Basseterre in St. Kitts and Nevis; Cozumel in Mexico; Philipsburg in St. Maarten; Roatán in Honduras; and San Juan in Puerto Rico.
In addition, on each getaway, vacationers can relax or go all out at Perfect Day at CocoCay. The private island, a one-of-a-kind destination for the cruise line, boasts everything from 13 waterslides to the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean and the Bahamas, to the island's first adults-only oasis, Hideaway Beach (opening in January 2024), with an exclusive beach, pools, live music, and more.
Immediately after welcoming Icon of the Seas to the family, two months before its debut in January 2024, Royal Caribbean is following up on the historic response to the first ship in the Icon Class by introducing the revolutionary combination of experiences at Port Canaveral (Orlando) for the first time.
Star will feature beach retreats, resort getaways, and theme park adventures, in eight neighborhoods that are destinations in themselves, including Thrill Island, Chill Island, AquaDome, a tranquil oasis by day and a vibrant hot spot by night; and the open-air Central Park.
With over 40 dining and drinking options, entertainment across the cruise line's four signature venues (air, ice, water, and theater), and a variety of activities for adults, children, teens, and the whole family, everyone can experience it their way.
Icon Class highlights coming to Star include adrenaline-filled thrills such as the Category 6 Waterpark's record-breaking six water slides and Crown's Edge, part aerial walkway, part ropes course, and part promenade, as well as unparalleled ways to relax in seven pools for every ambiance and mood, including the Swim & Tonic swim-up bar; Cloud 17, the adults-only space; and The Hideaway's unique infinity pool, suspended more than 40 meters above the ocean.
The neighborhood designed for young families features entertainment for all ages, restaurants catering to them, and even a bar, The Lemon Post, with separate menus for adults and children. New experiences are also coming to this newest addition to the world's finest family vacation destination, and more will be revealed later.
With the debut of Star in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Royal Caribbean is doubling down on the revolutionary all-inclusive vacation experience first unveiled on Icon in October 2022, which continues to generate unprecedented consumer demand.
