“Live it up” was the motto of last Tuesday night, which began with the naming ceremony at Terminal B of Norwegian Cruise Line.
“I feel connected to this brand,” said Fonsi, a native of Puerto Rico, where the Norwegian Viva will be based this winter, and who now lives in Miami, NCL’s home city.
In addition to breaking the champagne, the ship offered two onboard shows. The entertainment included the " Queen of Latin Pop ," Paulina Rubio , " Saturday Night Live " cast member Marcello Hernández , and singer Pedro Capó .

Herrera thanked members of the public for their presence, including Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Chairman Russell Galbut and directors Harry Curtis, Mary Landry and Jose Cil , PortMiami Director Hydi Webb , NCLH Chairman Emeritus Walter Revell , former NCL Chairman and CEO Andy Stuart , and former Regent Seven Seas Cruises Chairman and CEO Jason Montague .
Herrera stated that NCLH CEO Harry Sommer“took on one of the most difficult jobs in history: he had to replace a legend and a mentor to many, Frank Del Rio.”
Sommer also pointed out Terminal B's newly opened Knut Kloster Hall , which pays tribute to NCL's founder and shares details of the company's history.
The CEO thanked the travel consultants, Fincantieri, and the designers Studio DADO, SMC, Piero Lissoni, and Rockwell. He greeted his management team and said of Herrera, “My confidence in him has only grown since I appointed him.” Sommer called them all an “unstoppable team.”
