Oceania Cruises will feature the Annual Culinary Masters Cruise in 2024

Oceania Cruises will host its first annual “Culinary Masters Cruise” aboard the Marina in October 2024.

Annual Cruise of Culinary Masters

This cruise for food lovers will be led by Oceania Cruises' two Master Chefs of France, Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, and offers the perfect opportunity to learn, taste and immerse yourself in the culinary arts.

The ship, with a capacity for 1,250 passengers, will set sail from Valletta (Malta) bound for Rome (Civitavecchia, Italy) on October 16, 2024, stopping at ports in Croatia, Greece and Italy, giving guests the opportunity to explore local cuisines both on land and on board.

“Oceania Cruises is a cruise line created by food lovers, run by food lovers, and for food lovers,” commented Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises.

“Since our launch 20 years ago, we have put food at the heart of everything we do, so hosting our first-ever Culinary Masters Cruise is a natural evolution for us. This special cruise gives us the opportunity to showcase our immense pride in being the only cruise line with two of its chefs on the prestigious Maîtres Cuisiniers de France list and the chance to share their wisdom, creative talent, and fantastic culinary connections with our guests.”

The Marina and its twin Riviera were the world's first dining ships and are now joined by the Vista, which was launched to great global success in May of this year, and the Allura, which will join the fleet in the spring of 2025.

The Marina and Riviera have more kitchen space and fresh food storage than any other ship, and Oceania Cruises has the highest percentage of culinary staff dedicated to the dining experience. To ensure the quality of every dish, the line has one chef for every ten guests; half of the crew on board is dedicated to cooking or serving food.

Both were also the first ships to feature an onboard culinary school. Due to the immense success of the onboard Culinary Centers, the line has doubled their size on board its newest ships, Vista and Allura.

The first-ever Culinary Masters Cruise is designed to immerse guests in a gastronomic paradise, allowing them to learn about Oceania Cruises' gourmet heritage and future from the talented culinary team. They will have the opportunity to hear expert insights and enjoy live cooking demonstrations from Chef Alex, Senior Culinary Director of Oceania Cruises, and Chef Eric, Vice President of Culinary, along with their special guests.

All guests will be invited to attend Oceania Cruises' gala nautical brunch, normally reserved only for ship launches, and to enjoy the Chef's Market Dinners at The Terrace Café, where the onboard culinary team will use ingredients purchased from local markets, inspired by the destinations visited.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to purchase tailor-made experiences available only on board this cruise, including culinary tours in local ports and cooking classes led by Oceania Cruises' culinary team, wine tastings led by experts on board, or an exclusive private dinner.

“Oceania Cruises is already a proven leader in the culinary field, and we are delighted to expand our already amazing offering with this exclusive cruise, which focuses on some of the world’s finest destinations and cuisines, to make this the ultimate cruise for food lovers,” commented Chef Alex.

The Culinary Masters Cruise

Sailing from Valletta, Malta's capital, which has international connections via London, Frankfurt, Munich, and Paris, among others, the Marina will have a day at sea before embarking on a spectacular menu of Mediterranean and Adriatic ports of call: the beautiful Kotor (Montenegro); the Croatian gems Dubrovnik and Split; Bari (Italy); the Greek ports of Corfu and Katakolon; and then to Italy, to spend the last day in Naples, a gastronomic paradise, before ending in Rome (Civitavecchia).

Simply MORE™

Oceania Cruises offers travelers Simply MORE, with virtually everything included in the trip fare: a generous shore excursion credit to spend on excursions of their choice; and a beverage package available during lunch and dinner at onboard restaurants with dozens of vintage Champagnes, premium wines, and international beers.
