The Bodrum cruise port , operated by Global Ports Holding, has welcomed a large number of ships and passengers this year, making the season unforgettable.
This year, the Bodrum cruise port welcomed a total of 101 ships with over 100,000 cruise passengers. In addition, the port handled 836 ferry calls between Bodrum and Kos, carrying over 110,000 passengers. The final call of the season was on November 15, 2023, with the arrival of the Seabourn Encore cruise ship.
Aziz Güngör, GPH's Regional Director for East Med, expressed his satisfaction: “As Bodrum's cruise port, a rising star in the cruise industry, we distinguish ourselves through our high levels of infrastructure and operational expertise. We have welcomed ships making their inaugural visit to Turkey this season. I am pleased to announce that we anticipate more calls with higher passenger volumes in Bodrum next year.”
In the 2023 season, the Bodrum cruise port welcomed a diverse range of ships, including Resilient Lady , which made its debut in Turkey with a total of 16 calls at the Bodrum cruise port, the only Turkish port on its itinerary.
Mystic Cruises ' Vasco da Gama and Europa also made their inaugural visits to Bodrum. Other notable arrivals included Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Apex , MSC Cruises' MSC Opera and Sinfonia , Ritz-Carlton Yachts' Evrima , and Regent Seven Seas Cruises' Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Navigator .
Güngör highlighted Bodrum's importance as a destination: “Bodrum, one of Turkey's leading tourist destinations, has been particularly prominent this year in cruise tourism. We welcomed the Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady, which chose Bodrum as its first destination in Turkey.”
The Bodrum cruise port is a multi-purpose facility catering to cruise ships, ferries, and megayachts. This year, the port has successfully welcomed 388 private luxury megayachts, offering unparalleled services for seamless cruising and high-end experiences.
