Bodrum, one of Turkey's favorite destinations, ends the season with a record number of cruises: The 101st and final ship, the Costa Venezia, completed the 2022 cruise season.
The Bodrum cruise port welcomed its 101st and final cruise ship of the year on Tuesday, November 22nd. The season concluded with the arrival of the 323-meter-long Costa Venezia, which visited Bodrum 15 times during the season.
The Bodrum cruise port, part of Global Ports Holding, welcomed thousands of tourists from various countries this year, with a record number of ships and passengers. In the 2022 season, with 101 cruise ships and nearly 100,000 passengers, the Bodrum cruise port became the third busiest in the country, after Kuşadası and Istanbul.
Ships from the world's leading cruise lines passed through the waters of Bodrum this year. These included the 347-meter-long Odyssey of the Seas, belonging to Royal Caribbean; the Norwegian Jade, owned by Norwegian Cruise Line; the Mein Schiff 5-6; the Mein Schiff Herz, owned by TUI Cruises; and the Azamara Journey, the Azamara Pursuit, and others, owned by Azamara Cruises.
The Bodrum cruise port has successfully carried out turnaround operations in Bodrum this year, serving almost 15,000 passengers on 21 cruises as the home port of the Blue Sapphire ship.
