Virgin Voyages presents the next phase of its global expansion in Spain and Portugal.
Spanish and Portuguese residents will be able to sail aboard Virgin Voyages' first ship, Scarlet Lady, which will depart from Barcelona between May and October 2024.
The Scarlet Lady will offer two iconic itineraries next summer, the Irresistible Med and the French Daze & Ibiza Nights.
Virgin Voyages has entered into an agreement in principle with Mundomar Cruceros, whereby Mundomar Cruceros will act as its Exclusive Sales Agent for Spain and Portugal in order to lead the shipping company's sales and marketing activities in these countries.
Mundomar Cruceros' presence in the industry will allow for the immediate distribution of Virgin Voyages' product to Travel Agencies.
Under this agreement, starting November 20, 2023, Mundomar Cruceros will facilitate the shipping company's sales through its Online Booking System, which includes the B2B system used by Travel Agencies, up to the possibility of direct integration via XML or the use of the B2B2C white label on the websites of Travel Agencies.
Virgin Voyages will offer a package that, once on board, will include unique services such as essential beverages, unlimited group exercise classes, prepaid gratuities, WiFi, live entertainment, and dining at more than 20 specialty restaurants with menus selected by Michelin-starred chefs.

The Scarlet Lady will operate more than 25 voyages based in Barcelona between May and October 2024, with stops at destinations throughout the Western Mediterranean. Each voyage also includes an overnight stop in Ibiza.
The line's second ship, Valiant Lady, will be based in the Caribbean year-round. Passengers can embark in Miami or San Juan for voyages of varying lengths, most of which include a stop at Virgin Voyages' exclusive Beach Club in Bimini.
Finally, the line's newest ship, Resilient Lady, will sail from its homeport in Athens from May to July, offering seven-night voyages in the Adriatic or the Greek Islands. In August, the ship will move to Portsmouth to offer a series of short cruises to destinations such as Amsterdam and Zeebrugge (Bruges).
