MSC Cruises will feature a new and expanded entertainment program for young people and teenagers across its fleet, accompanied by a new original music video for teenagers dedicated to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

From November 15, 2023, the Young Club and Teens Club on board all MSC Cruises ships will have extended opening hours and eight hours of live entertainment daily. During the day, passengers aged 12 to 17 can enjoy dedicated facilities, consoles, games, and virtual reality technology.
Passengers will also enjoy organized onboard activities, including sports, entertainment, a water park, and a dinner exclusively for young adults and teenagers. Each evening will feature an exclusive game show, followed by a teen disco.
Following the success of two original web series such as “Kelly & Kloe on Board” and “Cabin 12006”, MSC Cruises presents, for the first time, an original music video for teenagers dedicated to its private island in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
“Ocean Cay: The Story of Cabin 12006” will be available on the official MSC Cruises YouTube channel starting November 7, 2023. It stars American actress Merrick Hanna, and also features talents such as Sophie Santella and Ralphy Perdomo, as well as Italian actor Sespo.
Matteo Mancini, Senior Manager of Youth Entertainment at MSC Cruises, says: “The ever-increasing number of young and teenage passengers on board our ships leads us to follow the trends they love most. MSC Cruises offers them an unforgettable holiday in every sense.”
“Even before leaving home, we offer them our original entertainment content on the web and social media; we continue on board with the activities organized by our Young Club and Teens Club; and, after the cruise, with the teenagers themselves becoming our creators and digital ambassadors“.
Mancini continues: “When people ask us why MSC Cruises has been internationally recognized as the “Best Cruise Line for Families” over the years, the answer is simple: we listen to our young cruisers and build loyalty with them. MSC Cruises’ original entertainment content, produced by our youth team, generated over 11.9 million website visits, 64 million impressions, and more than 4 million interactions among young people and teenagers through the official hashtags #mscteens or #cabin12006.”
Steve Leatham, Head of Entertainment at MSC Cruises, explains: “Weare very much in touch with the trends and demands of young and teenage guests, our most adventurous passengers. We actively invest in industry-leading hardware and software to entertain, excite, and engage them in ways you can’t even imagine. We also recognize that the content they see from ambassadors on social media is a way to allow the holiday experience to begin before arrival and continue long after for our most avid digital users.”
Produced by MSC Cruises in collaboration with Jumpcut Media and directed by Alessandro Valbonesi, the new music video tells the story of a group of young passengers on a cruise vacation to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. The passengers are divided by their interests in virtual reality, sports, hip-hop dancing, and unrequited love. The island of Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, in the Bahamas, will bring them together.
The original song titled “Ocean Cay”, written and produced by multi-platinum music producer Riccardo Scire, will be available on all MSC Cruises digital platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, allowing young passengers and teenagers to use it to create their own digital content while on vacation.
