The AIDAsol began AIDA Cruises ' 2023 World Cruise on October 27 in Germany , departing from Hamburg. The ship will offer a 117-night voyage.
After leaving northern Europe, the AIDAsol will head south, with stops in Spain, the Canary Islands and Cape Verde.
After a four-day voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, the 71,000-ton vessel arrives in South America to make a series of visits to destinations in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile.
Next, the ship will cross the Pacific Ocean towards French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Fiji and New Caledonia.
Continuing its journey around the world, the AIDAsol is scheduled to sail to several destinations in Australia before arriving in Mauritius.
At the end of the trip in February, the itinerary also includes destinations in Reunion, South Africa, Namibia, Portugal and England, as well as additional ports in Spain and Cape Verde.
Highlights of the cruise include a visit to Sydney on December 31, which will allow passengers to see the New Year's Eve fireworks, and a two-day stop in Rio de Janeiro.
The itinerary also includes a visit to Easter Island. Upon its return to Germany, the AIDAsol will also offer a series of winter cruises to Northern Europe, sailing as far south as the North Cape in search of the Northern Lights.
