Oceania Cruises received a perfect score of 100 for its ship Oceania Vista during the recent United States Public Health (USPH) inspection conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This inspection took place on September 20, 2023, while the ship was in Boston, Massachusetts, during the third day of an 11-day inaugural cruise of the United States and Canada.
To achieve a score of 100, cruise ships must score perfectly on all 44 items that make up the USPH Vessel Sanitation Program checklist.
These unannounced inspections, conducted twice a year and mandatory for any cruise ship with an international itinerary calling at a U.S. port, assess ships in a wide range of areas, including compliance with proper food handling, preparation, and storage procedures, and the overall cleanliness of the kitchens. Additionally, the ships' potable water supplies used in spas and pools are evaluated.
“We couldn’t be more proud to achieve a perfect 100 on the U.S. Public Health inspection for our newest luxury ship, Vista,” said Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “Everyone on board works hard every day to ensure the highest standards are met. A score of 100 carries considerable weight, and we applaud the entire crew and officers aboard Vista for this stellar achievement.”
