Utopia of the Seas is now one step closer to its debut in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, in July 2024. It sailed for the first time this weekend, marking a significant milestone and the next phase of construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
The process itself took almost 15 hours, beginning with filling the new vessel's dry dock with over 174 million liters of water overnight. Utopia was then moved to an outfitting dock, where it will be completed in the summer of 2024.
Utopia will bring a weekend energy with a combination of over 40 dining and drinking options, more pools, thrills, ways to relax, and much more. Guests celebrating any occasion can create their best memories and weekends with their selection and combination of exclusive new adventures and refreshed experiences, such as newly designed resort-style pools, a new Caribbean tiki bar—the Pesky Parrot—a revamped Izumi restaurant, now in Central Park, with a convenient new window for fresh sushi and Japanese street food, and al fresco dining; as well as spectacular nightlife and entertainment.
The ultimate 3-night weekend getaway and 4-night midweek escape will be the first short breaks offered by the revolutionary Oasis Class when it launches in July 2024. All vacations will include visits to Nassau, The Bahamas, and Perfect Day at CocoCay—Royal Caribbean’s award-winning private island—which will feature its first slice of adults-only paradise, Hideaway Beach, starting in January 2024.
Utopia will also cause a sensation when it debuts in July 2024 as the first Oasis Class ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the cleanest marine fuel to date.
