Disney Cruise Line has announced that the former Global Dream will debut as the Disney Adventure, and confirmed its plans to deploy the ship in Asia when it begins commercial service in 2025, offering families fantastic journeys through the stories of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.
Originally commissioned for Genting's Dream Cruises and under construction in Germany at MV Werften, Disney purchased the 6,000-guest ship, unfinished and under construction, following Genting's demise in 2022. Construction of the 208,000 gross ton vessel is scheduled to be completed at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany, under the direction of Meyer Werft.
Following its repositioning in Asia, the ship is expected to begin its cruise program from the Marina Bay facilities in Singapore.
The Disney Adventure will join the Disney Treasure, which will debut in 2024, and a newly built, as-yet-unnamed ship, which will also debut in 2025 and will be a sister ship to the Treasure and the Wish. In addition, with the Fantasy, Dream, Wonder, and Magic already in service, Disney will have eight cruise ships sailing by the end of 2025.
The new ship will offer innovative Disney experiences along with the entertainment, dining and legendary customer service that distinguish Disney Cruise Line.
