Virgin Voyages introduces 19 new ports and 27 epic new itineraries available through April 2025. Spanning every corner of the globe, the new offerings include a return to the UK, incredible new ports of call in Australia, and new coastal gems in the Caribbean.
Virgin Voyages offers exclusive adult experiences, menus created by Michelin-starred chefs, impeccable service, and a focus on relaxation and well-being. It provides its customers with what they have been longing for, with its widest selection of destinations, along with new summer and winter itineraries debuting across the fleet.
“New ports, new itineraries, and more local and immersive experiences to create unforgettable getaways,” said Michelle Bentubo, SVP Service Excellence and Travel Operations. “From Morocco to Mooloolaba, from Amsterdam to Bordeaux, from Catania to Port Douglas, we now offer more than 120 incredible destinations to explore aboard our ships.”
Virgin Voyages' fleet will offer a total of 63 itineraries to some of the world's most inspiring destinations. Among the new options is what the brand calls the "Seachange Series." These reimagined repositioned voyages offer travelers more opportunities to extend their vacations and explore the world at large.
Resilient Lady
After returning from its inaugural season in Australia, Virgin Voyages' new Lady will make three itineraries from its home port in Athens between May and July 2024.
On the agenda are the popular “Greek Island Glow” to the islands of Santorini and Mykonos; “Adriatic Sea and Greek Gems”, sailing along Croatia’s Dalmatian coast before stopping in Kotor and Corfu; and finally “Starry Nights in Greece & Croatia”, which offers a mix of the other two seven-night itineraries.
By popular demand, Virgin Voyages is also returning to its British roots with a series of three- to six-night voyages aboard the Resilient Lady. Beginning in mid-August 2024 and running through September, highlights include “English Sights and European Delights,” which calls at Le Verdon (Bordeaux), A Coruña, and Bilbao. The beautiful cities of Amsterdam and Bruges are also featured in this autumn's program.
The Resilient Lady's European program also includes two repositioning voyages from Portsmouth to Barcelona, adding Morocco to the brand's list of new destinations. Following this voyage, the Resilient Lady concludes its Mediterranean season with a trip from Barcelona to Athens, combining the best of the brand's "Irresistible Med" and "Greek Island Glow" itineraries and also introducing Catania, Sicily.
Finally, the Resilient Lady will embark on a 44-night repositioning voyage from Athens to Australia in October 2024, calling at dream destinations such as Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, and Bali. Once there, cruisers will be able to choose from 15 new itineraries and nine new ports, including Broome, Albany, Adelaide, Newcastle, Mooloolaba, Port Douglas, Brisbane, Eden, and Kangaroo Island.
Valiant Lady
To begin its 2023 winter season, the Valiant Lady will return from Barcelona on October 29, 2023, and commence its signature itineraries from Miami, such as the “Eastern Caribbean Antilles” and the “Enchantment of the Western Caribbean.” From January to March 2024, it will operate from San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering two Southern Caribbean voyages originally scheduled for the Brilliant Lady, including the “Southeastern Caribbean Islands” and “Sunsets in the Lesser Antilles.”.
The Scarlet Lady will enter dry dock next year and its sister ship, the Valiant Lady, will replace it from April 2024. Departing from Miami, Valiant Lady will continue to offer the Scarlet's popular four- and five-night Caribbean rotations, along with a special six-night "Holidaze and Nights" voyage.
Scarlet Lady
Next summer, between May and October 2024, Scarlet will soak up the Mediterranean sun, sailing Valiant Lady's two seven-night itineraries: "Irresistible Med" and "French Daze and Ibiza Nights." On November 3, Scarlet will embark on an 11-night repositioning voyage from Barcelona to Civitavecchia, with stops in Mallorca, Corsica, and Sardinia. After a brief dry-dock period for general maintenance, upgrades, and recalibrations, Scarlet Lady will return to service with a 16-night transatlantic voyage from Rome to Miami. This new itinerary includes stops in Funchal (Madeira, Portugal) and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain).
After arriving in Miami on December 14, 2024, the Scarlet Lady will offer Valiant’s signature six- and eight-night winter voyages through spring 2025, including the “Enchantment of the Western Caribbean” and the “Eastern Caribbean Antilles.” These longer itineraries from Miami, debuting in fall 2022, include overnight stays in San Juan, authentic experiences in the beautiful and rugged landscape of Roatán, and a taste of the U.S. Virgin Islands with a day trip to St. Croix.
Brilliant Lady
Despite careful planning, Virgin Voyages is facing unexpected construction, supply chain, and staffing issues that have delayed the commissioning of its newest ship, Brilliant Lady. The company has made the difficult decision to postpone the highly anticipated launch of Brilliant Lady. Virgin Voyages is evaluating new potential launch dates once it is able to deliver the standards that the company's customers expect.
