The Port of Vigo welcomed nearly 10,000 tourists during a double cruise ship stopover, highlighted by the inaugural visit of the Disney Dream, which shared the dock with the already regular Ventura.
The president of the Vigo Port Authority, Carlos Botana Lagarón, visited the Disney ship and welcomed its captain, with whom he participated in the traditional exchange of plaques on board.
The Disney Dream is the third ship in the Disney fleet. Launched in January 2011, it is 340 meters long and can accommodate 4,000 passengers across 16 decks. It arrived from Lisbon, bound for Le Havre, with 3,686 passengers, mostly Americans, and 1,467 crew members.
The ship is characterized by bearing the Disney factory's stamp in every corner and stands out for its distinctive silhouette in its funnels and the sound of its siren when docking and departing.
Meanwhile, its dockmate, the Ventura, arrived from Santander and was headed to Lisbon, with 3,382 passengers, mostly British, and 1,189 crew members.
After this stop, the Ventura is scheduled to return to Vigo on July 31, coinciding with the inaugural stop of the Norwegian Getaway.
