Holland America Line has reached a significant milestone in its 150-year history, recording its highest number of bookings on July 11 alone. This achievement underscores the continued strength of the cruise travel industry.

Bookings surpassed any other day in 150 years, both in terms of booking volume and revenue generated. The majority of bookings were for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, demonstrating that travelers are planning ahead.
Bookings reflect strong interest in destinations offered by Holland America Line, such as Alaska, Europe, and the Caribbean. There has also been an increase in sales of new, longer voyages. Destinations booked span diverse parts of the world, including Australia, South America, the South Pacific, and Asia.
Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line, expressed his satisfaction with this record-breaking day of bookings: “We consider this achievement encouraging for the entire industry, but for Holland America Line in particular, it is proof of the high level of quality and service we can offer our customers. People are planning their vacations for next year and even for 2025, and in the process, they are selecting the best service at sea and the unforgettable destinations we provide.”
Holland America excels in Alaska with a high number of visits to Glacier Bay. Through its Alaska Up Close program, guests immerse themselves in the local culture with authentic onboard programming, cruise activities, and award-winning shore excursions.
In addition to seven-day Caribbean cruises, Holland America Line continues to offer a differentiated experience with longer departures, providing the opportunity to visit more islands on the same itinerary.
The upcoming seasons in Europe offer a wide range of cruises, from trendy destinations like Greenland and Iceland to the sun-drenched skies of Greece and Turkey. Itineraries range from week-long getaways to longer voyages spanning multiple regions. With two Pinnacle-class ships based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 2024, guests are booking cruises to Northern Europe and the British Isles.
Holland America Line also recently launched Legendary Voyages, a new category of longer cruises with destination-rich itineraries, carefully designed to allow guests to stay longer, and with programming that enriches the experience in each destination.
